Questions before the first ride.

Not publicly. Kickstand is a working local beta and is not yet available through a public TestFlight, Play internal track or app-store listing.

Use the support form to send your email address and a message. You don’t need to sign in. Include your app version and phone model when relevant, and never send passwords or payment details. We’ll reply by email. If you reach the message limit, wait an hour before trying again.

No. All rider features stay free, including privacy controls. Planned business and event advertising will not buy territory, points, rankings or rider advantages.

We are planning a Business point at $99 USD per location/year, before any applicable tax. Any company can apply for a real physical location, subject to verification and content review. Riders will be able to select its logo point to see a title, description and website link. Sales are not open yet.

The planned Event point costs $10 USD per point/day, before any applicable tax. Choose the local calendar dates you want it displayed and pay once for the period: three days would be $30 USD. It will show your title, description, logo, website link and event dates, then disappear when the paid period ends. No annual business point is required.

Sign-in and signup are for every Kickstand user. Use one account to ride and manage Promotions. You can now create an account or sign in by email on the website and save private company details from the Promotions area of your account. Use your existing account's email, including an Apple relay address that receives mail. Contact support if you cannot receive a code, before creating a second account. Campaign creation, review and billing are still planned. When sales open, payments will be accepted on the website only.

Active points will be available to all riders exploring that area and clearly labeled Promoted. They will stay out of moving Ride Mode. We will not target them using private ride data or give advertisers access to it. Placement does not guarantee views or visits. See the planned advertising options.

A ride should keep recording when the phone is locked or the app is not on screen. Background location is used only after you start a ride, and you can stop recording or revoke permission at any time.

Yes. Ride fixes are stored on the phone first. Finished rides synchronize oldest-first when the server is reachable again. Offline map packs are also part of the beta, with physical-device airplane-mode proof still required before release.

A valid loop that closes within 150 metres and covers 1.5–400 square kilometres claims the enclosed map cells. A valid open route can claim a thinner corridor instead.

Territory-loss notifications group ownership changes into six-hour windows. Open one in the updated app to see the affected cells, their current owners and strength, and which cells you have reclaimed or are now unowned.

To reclaim territory, record a normal ride through those cells or close a valid loop around them. A stronger claim wins; at equal strength, the newer claim wins. Claims are checked after the ride finishes and uploads. There is no defense timer or paid advantage. Plan while stopped and ride at your own pace.

No. Kickstand does not reward speed, elapsed time or risky riding. Ratings are based on territory cells and first claims.

Shared routes remove the first and last 300 metres and subtract every privacy zone you configure. Live location, raw ride fixes and privacy-zone centres are not public. Territory cells remain visible so privacy settings cannot create a revealing hole.

Clubs combine their active riders’ territory, maintain roles and invitations and compete on club leaderboards. Joining does not expose your raw ride fixes to other members.

No. Kickstand is not a navigation, emergency-response or roadside-assistance service. Territory never grants access to a road or property. Obey closures and never interact with the app while moving.
